How it works: You reserve a Bristol Haven Farm eighth beef share today with a $150 deposit. We reserve one of our cattle for you. In November, your beef will go to a USDA-certified butcher to be processed and packed in individual vacuum-sealed packages. Once your beef is ready, we will send you an invoice to collect the rest of the payment ($400). Then we will either deliver it to you or have it available for you at one of our local pick-up locations.
An eighth beef includes: Approximately 45 lbs. of our premium pasture-raised and grass-fed beef. A eighth beef share includes a selection of cuts, based on availability:
- 2-3 chuck roasts
- 1 lb. sirloin steak
- 1 lb. t-bone steak OR mix of New York and tenderloin steak
- 2 lbs. ribsteak
- 0.5 lb. skirt steak
- 0.5 lb. flank steak
- 25 lbs. ground beef
- 2 lbs. shank steak (also called meaty soup bones)
- 4 lbs. short ribs
- 2 lbs. stew meat
Pricing: Place your eighth beef deposit today for $150. Pay the rest ($400) when your beef is ready. Total amount: $550.
Freezer Space: This eighth beef share will require approx. 2-3 cubic ft. of freezer space.
Please note that deposits are non-refundable as they are used to support the growth and care of a living animal, which is an irreversible process.
Option for beef bones and organ meat - please contact us before November, if you'd like beef bones for broth or organ meat, and we will include it for FREE with your beef share purchase.
